Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, born on August 19 1965 was an American actress. She also works as a producer and director. Her most well-known role is that of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received a Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson and also an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. The show ended on August 13th, 2012 after the conclusion of its seventh season. Sedgwick is also well-known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received nominations for an Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film credits include Oliver Stone's Born On the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The actress also appeared in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech/family therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick, a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian and of English heritage. Sedgwick claims to be Jewish and says she attends Passover seders.
